These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Uku mobile application ("Uku", "the app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app
1. License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Uku on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where permitted by law
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app
- Use the app in any way that is unlawful or that could damage, disable, or impair it
3. Microphone use
Uku requires microphone access to detect pitch and tune your instrument. All audio is processed on your device and is never recorded or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details
4. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of tuning results. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the app
7. Changes to the app and Terms
We may modify or discontinue the app, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable local law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of your place of residence, to the extent required by mandatory law
